My bldc motor with a built in speed controller has a diagram online
And I’m planning on connecting it to a potentiometer. The controller wire has 6 separate wires, red, white, blue, brown, black, and green.
If the wiring diagram is right, then r, w, and b wires are sorted out. Apparently connecting 2 of the remaining is sort of a shut off, that leaves me with one wire. The green wire is connected to the negative of the hall circuit,

And I checked with a meter, there’s barely any resistance so it’s a direct connection I assume. Is this supposed to be connected to something important? I assume it’s not supposed to be just floating around. Is this one used to shut off the motor?
