What could be a basic circuit schematic to test and compare a frequency response for these 2 types of transistors?

Hello there,

On the data sheet for the particular transistor they often show a small test circuit for testing various things about the transistor. For example, rise time, switching time, etc. You could look at a couple data sheets and get an idea what is required for each individual device. Usually the circuits are simple, but the test equipment used may be expensive.

The "test equipment" could be so cheap as LTSpice! :) I was just looking to know where to place resistors, their values and the wiring that should be made to accomplish such task!

Hi,

Obviously if you are willing to accept the results from a spice simulation then you dont have to pay for test equipment :)
If you want real world results then you have to test actual physical parts.

Still, check out a couple data sheets and see what you can come up with. Post some results (real or sim) if you like so we can take a look.
