Just got in a new tower case and system board. The case came with these big soft washers.

I don't remember ever getting these things. Where do they go? Under or on top of the system board? Or somewhere else?

Case instructions don't list them at all.

 

Maybe they hold the case up off of the desk? Just a guess...

 

There are only two places where a shock isolator would make sense: to mount a hard drive and to mount a fan.

 

Can you post a photo?

 

I think they are probably shock mounts like KJ mentioned.

But I got the system built and it does not work at all. I am going to test the PSU and post a new thread if PSU tests OK.

Not sure what the issue was, maybe a loose connector.

 

i have seen these not very often generaly there used between the motherboard back and the case on some systems. i beleve has to do with preventing the bord from shorting out.

 

I believe it goes between ur bum and the chair.
