Hi All:
First time post by someone very distant from his high school circuitry days.
I would like to use a 12v 6 watt bottle generator (presumably AC) to run an LED rope light that requires 12v DC input. I think that all I need to do is to size the rope light so that it requires approximately 6 watt (about 6' by my calculations), run it to a bridge rectifier, and thence to the bottle generator.
My goal is to have a big patch of led lighting that comes on at moderate speeds (12-30 kph) when I put the bottle generator to the tire.
Am I overlooking something? What should I be looking for in a bridge rectifier?
Thanks in advance for your help!
