What's the best way to prepare myself for employment with Texas Instruments?

Is it difficult to get into Texas Instruments? I mean, like as difficult as getting into a university like Cambridge, Oxford, MIT etc?

How can I get acquainted with their products ? Are there books by TI that I can read and prepare myself?

If not TI then companies like National Semiconductor (Just kidding :)), Microchip, Atmel, Analog Devices and so on, how can I get acquainted with one of them and prepare myself so that I can excel at an interview?

Thank you very much.

You could try the "front door" in the sense of starting with their websites...

http://careers.ti.com/

Most have an analogous section, e.g., http://careers.microchip.com/jobsearch/#All~Job~Categories|All~Job~Locations||d-ASC|1

You are an analog engineer and you don't know how to use the internet?

Oh that is right. Internet would probably be considered digital and not analog. Guess you are stuck. Sorry.
