Yesterday, Monday morning, we did the casting of beenthere's ashes at sea in the gulf of mexico. The sailboat, the Key Breeze, from Sarasota, is a beautiful 41 foot sailboat with a 60 foot mast. We sailed under ideal conditions going 5.3 knots on the return trip. The 6 yearold grandson got to take a turn at the helm. Tim and Jan, the owners, are both ministers and provided a lovely service. We saw wild dolphins jumping nearby. I know beenthere enjoyed the journey, too. Thanks for all the support and kind thoughts from all his (our) friends at AAC.

What a great send off for grandpa! I am sure this will make it much easier for your grandson putting his grandpa to rest this way. I can remember attending my grandma's funeral just a little older than your grandson. That image of the coffin being closed will stick with me forever. While he may be sad for a while, he will some day be able to look back on that day with fond memories.
