i simulated an ideal balun and got its good characteristic curves for s31, s41 (at -3db) and s11 (far below -10dB) , [input port is unbalance: p1(input), p2(gnd) where as output port is balanced: p3 (o/p 1), p4 (o/p 2), p5 (center tapped ground)].
while implementing it practically, i am getting strange form of the above mentioned characteristics at my interested freq. Do we always need a matching network at input and output of the balun. please guide through its procedure to make a matching network for balun.
my 2nd question is how can we approximate the balun size for interested frequency?
