So I have a couple things I want to do, one is install a PMW to my LED markers and running lights.

The other is how to make my marker light dim or turn off when turn signal is on?

Markers are the ones that wrap around the corner aka parking or indicator lights.

 

Is a marker light a running light? Are they separate circuits?

PWM has limited range with a single 555, the "elegant solution" uses 2 - or a 556.

A dual comparator can do the job with the same footprint as a single 555 - but it doesn't match the output capability.

A class-D audio chip might have the output capability to drive a bulb directly, but it could take a bit of searching datasheets to identify a chip that will tolerate the alternative use.
