Hi! I'm trying to create an audio amplifier using two TL072 ics.
I'm using an 8 ohm 0.5W speaker, and a condenser mic. For the power, I'm using 2 9v batteries, to get a negative rail.

So now, whenever I speak into the mic, the volume is extremely low, and I have to suck the microphone to my lips, and make very high-pitched noises in order to see the speaker doing anything.
Even then, it's not really audible. Just a punch of EEEE OOOO..
First, I tried using a 250K pot, and there was nothing coming out of the speaker. Then I used a 10K one, that's when the speaker started working.

Any help would be appreciated :)
