In all real C/C++ compilers, there is a setting in preferences, either globally, or on a per/project basis, where you can tell the compiler a directory path to look in, for includes, not directly referenced by full path, or within a standard C library.

For example, in the case that I want to be able to include my own libraries of code across different projects, without duplicating my libraries or copying their files into each and every project. Or I might have a huffman.c and huffman.h file in my own folder of non-compiler provided routines for a compression implementation, and I just simply need the compiler to know that hey, if I include huffman.h, it and the source file are over here, so you can link and compile them in.

I haven't found a way to do this, with Studio 6. Atmel Studio 4 had it.

    Thank you for any help.

as7.jpg I have AS7 installed but I haven't used it yet. However, this might be helpful. Project menu -> properties brings up the tab shown. Should be able modify include directories as depicted.
