Hi dear friends...
A 4 pole lap wound armature has 16 coils each with a resistance of 0.1 ohms.Calculate the resistance of the armature.
I assumed that the circuit could have 4 branches in parallel ,each branch has got 4 resistance in series.( 4 x 4 = 16 coils lap wound )
I added the series resistance first then solved the new circuit of for 4 parallel resistance.
each branch= 4 x 0.1=0.4 ohm
the sum of the 4 parallel branches ( each branch= 0.4 ) = 0.1 ohm
the total resistance = 0.1 ohm
Please some one shall check my solution and correct me if I'm wrong
