Hi!
I am trying to make the device, as far I understand the concept, when you press the button, the secondary coil of a transformer makes an arc between its ends, you need something like a sin current and 1 or 2x18650 batteries or better. What do you think about this circuit?

What is the point of Q1, just pulse the transformer with Q2 and put a fly back diode across transistor to protect it.

I once met Frank Valdez when he gave a talk describing this circuit at a professional society meeting in about 1983. He had dubbed his cascode circuit using a MOSFET to drive the emitter of a switching transistor the "Q" cell. He used it for horizontal deflection in an early 1600 x 1200 CRT display and said that the cascode switch was a very fast and low loss switch. Aside from a patent application, which the patent office kept secret in those days, he didn't tell anybody how his invention worked.
