what is the fundamental use/application of o'scope?
eg dmm use is to measure value of electronic components ie amp,volt,ohm etc....
what o'scope do?

The "fundamental" use of a 'scope is to give a visual representation of voltage/current over time. it can do probably everything a DMM can do and much much more. They can measure time, frequency, voltage and current and so much more that they enable detailed examination of what is occurring in a circuit. I suggest that you google "using an oscilloscope" for an in depth explanation.
