Anyone else do video editing as a hobby?

In addition my circuitry hobby, I also like making and editing videos for fun. I've recently started using Adobe Premiere & After Effects - it's really quite amazing how powerful these programs are. Anyone here have any experiences with this software?

I'm still new to the Adobe suite, but here's an example something I did a while back using a stand-alone video editor.

I've used Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator with good results. I've found a fast computer is your friend for these projects though.

Yes, I totally agree. Although in the case of a slow computer, I recently read about this idea of "proxy editing". Basically you edit a stripped down version of your footage (so that the computer runs faster), and then before saving the final product you replace the source footage with the original high quality files in the original folder.
