Navy fires captain of USS John S. McCain for “loss of confidence”

Cmdr. Cameron Yaste was featured by the U.S. Navy’s official Instagram account in a photo of him firing an M-4 from the USS John S. McCain in April, 2024. The optical site on the rifle is installed backwards, a mistake noted widely on social media and which prompted the Navy to remove the photo.
The Navy holds commanding officers to the highest standards and holds them accountable when those standards are not met. Naval leaders are entrusted with significant responsibilities to their Sailors and their ships,” the Navy said in a release.

I was in the "corporate" world for exactly 11 months.

Management and I could not see eye to eye.
In my case, I worked for a light bulb manufacturing company (long since dead) for about 18 months before going solo. Management and I got along just fine. The problem was the absurdly ridiculously meager humiliating salary that I was getting paid.

My only regret is that maybe I should've stayed there at least 3 or 4 years more so I could learn a corporation's inner workings. That would've saved me time and some trouble in the years that followed. It would've made my life much easier learning exactly how projects and budgets got proposed and approved inside a corporation.
