And now for something weird...

@nsaspook Yep, some will own their mistake. Another CPO and myself played a game, we had five seconds to look at a ribbon rack to decide if it was correct or incorrect. If incorrect we would pull the person aside to inform them of their faux pas. So, there was an O-6 from the area commanders office, who was in attendance when we dedicated a new lounge at the training center, complete with a few kegs. I noticed he had a couple of ribbons reversed, so I told my counterpart Stan to look at the Capt's uniform.

We both knew he was a BM3 in the year of our birth, and both of us assumed he would have his act together. Anyway, I asked him to step aside as Stan and I wanted to talk to him, an act he had seen many times in the Chief's Club.

We didn't even tell him as he spoke loudly ....F$%k you guys, I know it's out of order and it came that way. I have a new one on order. Well, Stan and I laughed as the rest of the people assembled had no clue. On that occasion, he owned it, loud and clear. I expected nothing less that that response from the former BM3.

Don't see anything wrong with calling a list of injured players "injured list".
But it never ends. It’s not about the word per se, which is actually precise language - the player is not able to play for whatever reason. He’s disabled. That’s why the word was chosen in the first place, because it was the right word. Once you give in, the PC crowd will just start pulling on some other thread. They can’t help themselves.

Like I said above. Lets just all grunt at one another to prevent someone from being upset.

It's all an act, on every channel, to sell soap.
Oh, I know that and you know that but some here and in my extended contacts with people don't. They believe what is told to them. I watch both FNC and MSNBC, to see the difference in the way things are spun. But have to say the only one doing real reporting and telling it as it is and how it happened on FNC is Shep Smith. Surprised he still has a job there.

You guys are making me feel old. When I started working, I'd occasionally have to go out to the plant grab samples, and to get around from floor to floor I had to learn to ride the Humphrey Man-lift.
