I have looked through tutorials online but still am unclear of the steps for getting the voltage response.

I can do differential equations, but I am struggling to form them with the data in the question.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated in me understanding this better,

From the looks of things a KCL and KVL equation should be enough to get the job done.

You have 2 energy storage devices so you'd expect to write 2 equations and obtain a second order differential equation.
