And it's a very valid point that book makes... but it dates from 2003, and the thousands of exoplanets now catalogued had not been discovered yet... so statistically the stakes for alien life have raised dramatically

Good Grief this is amazing, not the article but my cousin who has been helping me with repairs pouring cement etc came yesterday with a story. I've never had him tell me any story with embellishments or fabricated, far to serious. But, it doesn't surprise me he's always looking up at Aircraft since a child.

I was outside last Monday around 8:30 and happened to look up and seen a bright light appear, it moved slowly across the night sky then in an instant on a 45˚ angle upward it streaked away to the Northwest out of site, then suddenly either the same one or a different one appeared in the exact same spot and maneuvered the same way as the other, then on the same angle it also vanished in a streak of light. After that he say's, I always look in that general direction because it's the flight path of Airplanes, he said he watched the evening news and no report of anyone seeing it nor the plane that was in the UFO's path, he said it was impossible for the pilot to not have seen it. He said it was right in out front of the plane as it landed.

After that I said why you? I've always wanted to see something like that, all I've ever seen is Space Station or other normal objects. Of course I don't really ever look up unless my friend calls to tell me something in orbit is about to move across the sky like the space station, visible satellites.

He then claims to have seen another one, when he was a child, only this one was the Cigar shaped type, he said it hovered this time over the south side of Utah Lake while these on Monday were on the North Side and it opened up on one side and 3 shining objects came out one by one. He claimed he could see windows along the side one went above another down below and the last went out to the front, then they hovered he said for sometime, then the bottom one went in then the top one, the opening closed and it then streaked up and away, but the last object went streaked North at the same altitude and Vanished.

The difference here, is that the object appeared opaque, and not fiery or glowing. Also, it was clear as day... that's why the story drew my attention.
