There are a number of different formulations for DOWCLENE as you'll see in that PDF. Your employer should have MSDS's for the DOWCLENE products they use on file for you to read; I suggest that you take the time to do so.

My parents lived in a small apartment across from a chemical mixing factory when I was born. My Dad worked in the factory for three days. He couldn't take the fumes. Later, it became a Superfund cleanup site in Holbrook MA. It was listed as the 14th worst site at the time - Baird & McGuire.

 

Read the OSHA posters carefully a full poster with lots of words, that says nothing.

Makes me think, there were probably a lot of people saying that there's nothing dangerous about what was being flushed into the ground, just as there are a lot saying that about current sites that will be superfund sites in the future.

Guys see what doing the right thing gets you , in the past someone could see

someone other than a number. A friend could come to some ones aid with a

job. Not anymore , the reason I write this , just maybe this conversation will

get some ones attention...you never know if you don't try...Texas is a big place

and our members have big hearts. I always wonder how much tech power we

Looks like I'll be scarcer than I like. I have only had time for an hour a day on the computer. Bummer. I will be back in force eventually though.

 

rally you should get a mask of the right type, a lot of industrial solvents WILL KILL you right away or over time. a griend of mine was washing parts in a US Navy torpedo school using benzine, he died of liver cancer. a lot of electricians and mechanics here have died with misterious forms of cancer, the kind that when you visit the doctor, he wants paid before you leave ( not enough time for insurance papers to go through). get a mask, especially if you smoke, smoking makes the effects even worse. My Father was a smoker and welder, the cigaretts and welding fumes did away with his lungs.
