Hi

I am looking for ideas on agricultural motor pump controller for the following points

1. Automatic power detection to communicate to the farmer on the availability of power
2. Provides acknowledgement of water being pumped so that farmer is assured of the water supply to the crop.
3. Automatically shuts down the motor when water is not available to prevent damage to the motor.

I am looking for a basic idea. I don't have any motor pump so I can't provide details I don't have idea what hardware parts will be required to accomplish all the above points with a microcontroller. any help would be appreciated

 

1) LED
2) Flow meter
3) Sight glass or flow meter. Other options dependent on water source.
Is the water from a well, pond, elevated tank, mains supply ...... ?
