Higher voltage is never a problem. Lower voltage, or different capacitance can be.
Voltage on a capacitor tells you how much it can deal with. The engineers who selected that capacitor chose a particular voltage. While is is possible that sometimes it reflects excess caution or parts availability, it is not a good idea to choose a lower voltage rating than you find in the absence of other information.Thanks for responding.
