Hi Everyone

I have lots of hand held manual wire strippers here but I was thinking about buying something that would make life a bit easier. I only need to strip small gauge wires like 24 to 18.

Could you recommend something that would be faster than hand held tools?

The only thing I have seen and also worked on are wire stripping & cut to length machines used in auto & bus manuf. in order to assemble harnesses.

The heated version should work fine, I am just using regular stuff.

Those thermal strippers have been around a long time. Just make sure what you buy has the right capacity for your application. Also I have had great success with this: filtered smoke absorber and would recommend it for this and soldering.

A smoke absorber uses an activated charcoal filter to trap the nasty particulates.
The nice thing about this one it=s it takes up no bench space and can be moved close to the work when needed, then out of the way.
