As just mentioned for sure you have to do an end to end error budget of all
components in the signal path, over T and V and noise and component drift
and their INL and DNL. Even 10 bits is a challenge in industrial designs.

Couple that with how much latency can you tolerate in DAC change, PWMs are
notoriously slow, largely because of their filters.

But don't go crazy with this if some other part of the system is significantly less
accurate, precision, resolution, as that will be the limiting part of the system.
