There is a 4030 & 4027 stepper driver PLUS a full-bridge. How to add current control feature in this bipolar stepper driver like L297 & L298 driver (sense resistors and Vref).

Some advanced stepper drivers increase current for brief periods of time in order to increase torque when stalling/de-sync is detected. Such as Oriental Motor's alpha step line.
But I consider that to be a very advanced level of control electronics, way beyond a simple amateur.
