How does a microprocessor tell an ADC0804 to place a result in the data bus?

and how does it know when the ADC0804 has finished a conversion and its data are valid?


Please help, I would really appriciate anybodys help....

Hi,

Most converters are considerate and generate an EOC (end of conversion) signal. That lets the microprocessor know to grab the data and get on with things. If there's no EOC from the ADC084, then there's no way to know when the data are valid.
