Here is a pic of a psu that is powering the one part of the JLSounds board. The other source of power to the board is from the DAC board. This is not how it should be. Should be either no independant supplies like the image of the basic dac, or 2 independant supplies (ie: not half way).
Looks like 2 independent PSU on one PCB to me, each driven from its own transformer secondary, each driving one sound channel Nice isolated incoming EMI filter and transformer instal. Plus screened cable from inputs to sound card. DAC board is independently powered from PC USB connection..

Almost, 2 x 15V secondaries with ouputs to the analog and digital inputs on the dac board. The analog is 15V and the digital one is 5V. The JLSounds board piggybacked on the dac board is powered from the PC USB. This the basic setup, nothing is independent. There are a few cut traces / jumpers that make it all work. You would have the read the thread
