I would like to learn about power supplies. I have a project I am try to work on...2 swithc forward converter and the schematic is attached. First I would to comprehend the relationship between all the major components in schematic to understand why they are there...Thanks.

 

I wouldn't recommend doing a design such as this before you have more knowledge of SMPS. Deal with something simpler like a low voltage buck converter.

Switch mode supplies running straight off the mains have a tendency to explode if anything goes wrong.

Deal with low voltage designs before adding the extra dangers involved with working on live circuits.
