I have a fridge alarm which uses 2 AA alkaline batteries. It has two remote units so thought I would put one in the freezer. It has been in there about 1 hour and is currently indicating -26C. Then I thought about how cold would affect the batteries. It seems alkaline should be OK to -18C which is the proper temperature for a freezer.
Is there a battery type I could use which could handle lower than -18C?
