Yes there are numerous PPMs (Perpetual Motion Machines) that don't involve magnetism. The Carnot cycle is an example of an ideal reversible process that cannot be realized. It is fundamental to the understanding of thermodynamics and the presence of losses in real world processes. Are there over-unity notions that don't involve magnetism, one way or another?
