Some DMMs have a rudimentary capacitance range, otherwise the only way I can think of is to measure Xc at a known frequency. You have to rectify and smooth the end result before a DMM can read it, and that will be more error than reading for such a low capacitance.Hmm good thanks ian .how would check a value of ceramic disk on digital multimeter ?
I haven't the faintest idea what spec' on the meter you mentioned.Ok I have a precision gold miltimeter would that do it?. To do this in series I see 3 legs on this which leg doesn't touch the board I should only be using too legs ?
If you use the middle leg - you're measuring one capacitor with the other one hanging over the side.Ok thanks in series with two Capictors which leg doesn't get used ? I see three ?
That's if you only want to measure one of the caps - take the 2 end ones to measure the series combo.Ok so the two legs that I twisted together is used which other leg do I use ?
