Hmm good thanks ian .how would check a value of ceramic disk on digital multimeter ?
Some DMMs have a rudimentary capacitance range, otherwise the only way I can think of is to measure Xc at a known frequency. You have to rectify and smooth the end result before a DMM can read it, and that will be more error than reading for such a low capacitance.

Peal Atlas sell a LCR meter, but its not cheap and I'd have to search for the handbook to look up whether it reads that low.

Ok I have a precision gold miltimeter would that do it?. To do this in series I see 3 legs on this which leg doesn't touch the board I should only be using too legs ?

I haven't the faintest idea what spec' on the meter you mentioned.

If it has a capacitance range - try it and see if you get an in range reading.
