Hello
I have a scooter that is shutting down due to an issue with one of the speed controllers.

I have an extra pair that is damaged and was replaced before; however, since these are expensive to buy, I am hoping to get support fixing the damaged component instead.

I have a MM, solder tool kit; where should I start?
I am being told it is likely a blown mosfet.

The best choice is to consult the manual for the system, and if it has a circuit schematic and parts list you will be doing all right. Usually a failed MOSFET is either open or short circuited. Shorted is easier to verify. Opening the case and locating the failed part can allow an examination as to just what will be involved. If the manual has a parts list that should provide enough information to purchase a repair part. So the first question is doyou have a manual for the speed controller? If not, can you get one, or download one?
