Does anyone have a recommendation for a 5v power and ground rail solution or design? I don't like the appearance of bridging the solder. I've seen the proto boards that have copper rails already, but would prefer not to cut the board for 2 rails if possible (space is limited). Is there an off the shelf solution?

Your request is too vague. What board dimensions do you require? Where do you want the power rails? Is there an issue with using a piece of bare wire? What does the board you prefer not to cut look like?

 

VECTOR brand used to sell prototype boards like that, they may still sell them. In addition, there were other prototype boards by a few other companies that sold such You will not find them at nuts and volts or amazon or any other mass merchandiser, but possibly Newark or Digikey
