555 based function generator

i'm actually designing the same thing with a lesser bandwidth... the 555 producing the square wave and then using this as supply to make triangle wave/sine wave... just a question... does the amplitude of the waveform remain constant as the frequency is changed for this setup... how is the frequency varied?...

The one I was designing has a few bugs, but nothing that can't be worked out. The whole point is constant amplitude. The final stage (U2c), where the gain is varied where the switch is selected, is meant to bring all the waveforms to the same amplitude.





I'm thinking that replacing the Q1/Q2 stage with a simple inverting comparitor will fix the problem. That and I figured out the battery I was using was pretty depleted, which could have also caused some of my issues.
