I've just replaced the bleed resistor with the diode as suggested in post#26 to my existing schematicI noticed that the tread has been (solved). Have you made some modifications to the original circuit?

ah yes just noticed the TRE/TRI and shorted to the negative of the Cap and the wiper of R7 is connected to gnd.The delay circuit of IC2 doesn't look correct. The way it is shown above I don't see how the delay will be adjustable. See post #22.
