I am looking for opinions.
I have a cat5e cable from my security panel to a keypad front door inside location. There is no option for additional wiring.

Outside, I need a lighted doorbell button 24vAC, and a future small speaker.

Will the doorbell current or speaker current interfere with the 485 signal?

PS I hope we are talking about RS485

 

No problems as long as you have a shielded cable. Or even if its a normal one wouldn't cause problems at 48VAC
