Hello, the usual 40Khz ultrasonic transducer power is 50W. For some applications this can be too much.
Can I use 40Khz ultrasonic transducer power MJL1302AG wtih resistor to controll the amount of power going to the transducer. I know I can use a POT but that requirs some 150W POT. It is more easy to use transistor. But will it not interfere with frequency and the circuit is auto adjusting for oscilation. So with the transistor it will work?

Can 't measure voltage or current as my DMM will not measure it shows OL

Do you have a Scope.? to display the waveforms at the transducer.
Also a circuit diagram of the project that you could post and how are you going to use the project/application.?
