Im putting together a design project that involves switching 4 video inputs between 4 TVs, using rca video cables.

Is there a rotary switch I can buy that I can connect the 4 inputs to one output?

Or

I have in the past built a 'dirty mixer' using a potentiometer and 2 rca video inputs, so the signals mix as you move from one input to the second. Is there a potentiometer that could take 4 inputs?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

4 way rotary switches are common. Often they will have three poles[ - that is they could switch 3 different signals between 4 outputs. If you have only one signal then you just ignore the other 2 poles.

Another way to do it is to use the switches to switch DC voltages and switch the video inside integrated circuit chips. If you get into trouble with losing signal quality, you will end up using switching chips.
