does anybody know where you can get 1% tolerance resistors with 4 band color code? The 5 band ones are too hard to read.

 

The 1% resistors will have 5 bands: 3 significant digits, a multiplier, and a tolerance band.

 

Here is where I buy my 1% through-hole resistors. Well marked, accurate, and about as cheap as I've found. Downside is lots of 50 and delivery time from Hong Kong.
