3min timed 4.5v polarity switcher challenge

If you like a simple challenge, perhaps you could suggest components to construct a timed polarity changer that can run on 4.5v and be very economical on power consumption.

Three D-cells in series with two DC outputs (one +, one -), after 3 minutes the polarity would switch, after 3 more minutes the polarity would switch back, infinitetly...

perhaps a micro relay could be used?

circuit current will be non-existant, only importance is the potential

You'll probably think I'm crazy, but here goes...

There is a device invented by Lee Crock which originally used 3v, but it has since been proven that 4.5v works better. I was hoping that someone could help in creating the switching mechanism so that I (and others) could build our own...

Google for "Lee Crock" or "Aura Cleanser" for info about the device...
