Hi I am in the 300-500$ market for a 3d printer. I would like to print things like gears and frames to augment a remote control car and to experiment with imagination. Many printers I've looked at are very specific and the technology is constantly improving. All comments and opinions are appreciated. May the Force by with you.

I read that there are different versions of Ender 3.

Ender 3 - US$155
Ender 3 Pro - US$209
Ender 3-X - US$210
Ender-3 V2 - US$262

The major difference is price (prices shown may vary with seller).
As far as I can tell, each one is an upgrade from the previous. The original Ender 3 is probably no longer being made and any available would be old stock hence the low price.

The most problematic concern is bed adhesion. I have an Ender 3 Pro that came with a heated glass plate. This works well most of the time. For extra adhesion I use a sheet of Kapton Tape (polyimide) on the heated bed.

The Ender 3 Pro works well and I am very happy with it. I would recommend it highly for someone now starting out into 3D printing.
