3 phase controlled rectifier with variable frequency - minimum input frequency

With a 3 phase controlled rectifier with variable frequency (e.g. a tidal turbine) is there a minimum frequency the Input should be for the rectifier to function properly? (Not if it would be efficient to do so). Say normal Input is 60Hz, could it drop to 50Hz or even 10Hz? The input Voltage is fixed ( voltage controlled) at 440V. The DC side would be linked to a battery charge system.
