Hello folks, I am looking to supply power for a device. I want to use, 2x18650 cells. I was looking for something that will protect, supply power and balance charge at 2 to 3A. I am going to use a USB type C power adapter to power and charge at the same time.
Not only that, but I am also looking for thermal sensing where the charging current can be lowered should the cells become too hot.

I was looking at the modules from AliExpress, but many seem to lack the features I am looking for. I started to look into making my own, but I am no engineer. Furthermore, I am trying to make sense of it all, and I thought it would be best to consult with someone.

I was thinking of going with the BQ25713. I am not sure how would I plan this circuit specifically. I would like to have a PCB made, but I have never done that either. I would really appreciate some help or a better solution.

Modern USB-3 High-Current-Charging is too complex for a first-time-Project.

There are far too many ways that You can get it wrong and smoke-parts or even start a fire.

If You want to put the Cells in parallel,
and Charge them with a USB-2 interface at a max of 1-Amp,
that's a much more realistic first Project.
