Thanks for the reply.Do you have the J-FETs? If so, you should be able to work out the pinout using a multimeter.
I'd assume it was the bottom view as that's what most datasheets I've seen used. Manufacturers don't seem to be paying to detail as much as they did in the old days...If that is a bottom view , then the configuration is right for my purpose (replacing a jfet in an old Minimoog oscillator and i prefer to have a straight drop in).
You can have the seller check Idss using the pinout above.It would be nice if i could be certain that the diagram shown is that of a 2N4082.
