I was referring to the SLA1016; I'm sure I saw something relating to a DIY version, but now, having reviewed your links I see I was wrong about that article. Do you know anything about a non-OEM product for the SLA1016?

Won't be a SLA1016 as I know it as it's a proprietary and active MSO box which AFAIK has not been DIY'ed.
