I want a new toy under $10 so just checking on amazon I could get a $1-2 version

The difference is the drivers. I have the $10 clone. It works on every OS out of the box.

 

Ok well that 1 was also $10 anyways, I missed the shipping. So I ordered the 2nd 1, w/ cables.

Well I dream of figuring out what failed on a HDD I had, but what do I know about interface protocols, next to nothing.

Soon I want to get a BusPirate, those look pretty cool, and a nice way to see chips talking to each other translated into something that will make more sense. And a someday I'll get a much better LA
