12v sensor switch

its a 12 volt DC sensor switch. There's three holes to insert wires into. one has an L. one has an N and o:..ne says load. I don't know what thismeans. can someone please explain this to me?

The letters L N and Load usually apply to mains wiring connections.?
When you say 12V DC , is that the control voltage input.

this is an extremely very simple on off switch it came from overseas so there's not a part number that I can find. Its made for 12 volts for light LED lighting and what not.

Generally a simple contact closure switch that is marked that way is one that has an internal on/off indicator light/led.
If it is a solid state switch then the load terminal could be a NPN or PNP open collector.
