So I needed 12 volts for a project I wasn't working on, my ADD sidetracked me into making this little gadget: I have quite a few of these AAA battery packs (Amazon never sells just one) so I printed a box on my 3D printer rummage through my junk box to get some spring terminals also courtesy of Amazon and made this I don't think schematics are necessary but if you want one ask.
I realized after I had finished that these spring clips were not the best way to go because the entire body of the clip is hot. So I had to make a cover for this box to keep from shorting them out accidentally in my toolbox.
of course I will attach the .stl files in a compressed zip folder,if I were to do this project again I would use binding posts which are insulated as well as much thicker plastic walls my default for usual projects is a 0.04", when I need more strength I go for 0.08". In addition to the STL files I have included the SketchUp models, I use Google's 2016 SketchUp software which is free, so people can easily modify these STL files as they see fit.
