120v Bose System

Thanks I really appreciate it. Trouble I'm having is that my step down transformer isn't powering the Bose correctly so any measurements i am taking with my multimeter are incorrect.

Have installed the new 250va transformer. Tested the 24v output first but again it wouldn't work. Connected it to the 12v output and it seems to work fine.

No idea why that is or what is causing it but it works! Thanks for the help.

your over voltage safety in the bose is making you safe .. no output.
I have also seen it called a POP protector. in most amps of any quality they have a circuit to limit the output until the caps are fully charged. and some protect from over voltage. 12v seems to be in the middle between the high limit and the low limit.

you could ask a bose tech what the circuit requires voltage wise.
