I had made a mini ZVS driver to make plasma pen, it works when I test it with a pair of LEDs and one of the LED turns on, if I touch the negative wire with cathode of other LED then it switches and turns on other one which indicates that ZVS driver is working fine but when I connect same ZVS driver to transformer (CCFL transformer from laptop backlight inverter board) through inductor at centre tap then the circuit does not oscillate , LED that I have used as an indicator in circuit dims to off when circuit is on with transformer attached. How can I solve this problem and get it to work?


These are the values of components which I have used:-
Capacitor:- 1uF
Inductor:- 4.7uH
SMD LED (Green)
MOSFETs:- P75N0LDG (75A, 25V, 5m ohm)
Resistors:- 333ohm
DIODES:- PH4148
Battery:- 5-9V (the one used in radio transmitters)
Transformer:- CCFL (From LCD backlight inverter board)

 

Your psu won't be powerful enough from a battery, you need a descent 3A supply to get it working.
