So I wanted to move my router upstairs and I had to disconnect the internet cable. Is it as easy as pulling it out and getting it in again or do I have to talk to someone who knows more? Im afraid I'll do something wrong. I'm really sorry if I started the discussion in the wrong place.

That looks like an optical connection. I would wait until somebody with a little experience with this type of connection replies.

Alternatively, you can call your service provider and ask them.

 

It's a plug in fiber connection.
I believe it can be unplugged
